Patrick Ewing Jr. Justifies His Existence

April 4th, 2008 by Bunkie Perkins · No Comments

You are the son of one of the greatest centers of all time. You played at the same school your dad won a National Championship at.  You are a more than serviceable college player but you arent as big, skilled, or terrifying (at least in college) as your dad was. At this point, maybe you should be getting a bit of an inferiority complex while sitting at the dinner table with dear ol’ dad. But when you can do this…

then your existence is justified.

Amazingly Ewing Jr. didn’t make it into the finals (admittedly his first dunk was weak sauce). Judges included ultra white conservative David Robinson and English language expert Emmitt Smith (which explains the judging inconsistencies…letters and numbers can be confusing). The title was brought home by Sonny Weems after several between the legs dunks and a pretty impressive leap from the free throw line.
