Welcome to the Mullet Toss!

April 28th, 2008 by Michael Medallion · 3 Comments

Since we consider throwing fish on a beach while drinking beer and listening to Sweet Home Alabama to be a legitimate sporting event (it’s just as legitimate as bowling), we ventured down to the Flora-Bama this past weekend to check out the festivities at the Mullet Toss on the famous Redneck Riviera. Check out some videos and photos after the break…

If you haven’t seen an actual “mullet toss”, this is basically it:

This is the mullet landing area:

And the throws are measured by this crack staff:

Meanwhile, Sweet Home and Dixie are playing inside the bar…by law these are the only two songs that are allowed to be played at Mullet Toss. Well, not really, but it probably wouldn’t bother many people if there were such a law.

It truly amazing how many people show up to watch people throw fish. I think it falls under the “any excuse to drink beer” theory…

Unfortunately, there are no laws that prohibit certain people from going shirtless or wearing a bikini. And by “certain people” we mean big fat people…but it was nice to see Coach Mark Mangino make the trip…

Though, there were some nice things to see on the beach…

While the partying continued all night, some didn’t quite make it that long.

We have more photos but we’re still too hungover to post them all. Though, look out for some great Bama Girl poon photos coming soon.
