The Belmont is the longest race of the Triple Crown…a true test of endurance. However, for the 2008 Belmont this past weekend, the real endurance test wasn’t on the track…it was in the line for the ladies room on the third-floor grandstand. Low water pressure was to blame:
Inside, the toilets would not flush and only hot water came from sink faucets.
There were also problems in the men’s room, but it was obviously alot easier for guys to find a solution:
The water-pressure troubles made for long lines outside restrooms and portable toilets for much of the afternoon. Some men resorted to relieving themselves in garbage cans, on clubhouse stair landings and in the manicured shrubbery outside the clubhouse.
When you gotta go, you gotta go.

It reminds me of this gag. A punter walks in to a bar and asks the barman “do you sell shorts’ Yes! says the barman. To which the punter replies “Could I have a pair please ,I have just pissed myself!”
