Go out and get dat wood today
Mark it down as year number twelve (yes thats right, we owned the original College Football 96 complete with Steve Tanneyhill mullet action…we miss our Sega Genesis) that we’ll demonstrate drone-like routine on Pavlovian levels and once again purchase the latest installment of the Bill Walsh College Football/College Football USA/NCAA series.
This year’s game features versions on all significant platforms, including a Wii version that is sure to result in the serration of our rotator cuff at some point. As in most years, there will be a few graphical enhancements, maybe a control tweak or two, but fret not long standing NCAA marks, we are pretty sure the speed option and inside slant are still open and available (see the playbooks here). The main difference this year is the ability to play dynasty mode online, which like many online games, will start off as a great idea but will end up in a barrage of racial slurs from twelve year olds via Bluetooth.
Recruiting of course will be a large part of the game (for some reason we end up not even playing games eventually and just sim the season in order to get to recruiting…we call that Orgeron syndrome) with this years enhancement being something called “recruiting tips” which we can only assume involves your coach looking at endless pages of recruiting threads from the TiderInsider.
The pull to purchase this game by noon today is strong but we’ll try and wait til after work like most civilized working people and teenagers who have discovered girls would. See you in the BestBuy line, sheep.

Add all the graphics you want but nothing will beat College Football USA 96 when you played against Washington and ran the option. Some game programmer must have really had something against UW’s defensive secondary that year
