Everytime we played NCAA on our Playstation we would always go to the records section to marvel at what TIm Rattay and Troy Edwards did that day. 21 catches, 405 yards… A mark that we couldnt even touch on the Rookie level…and we threw the ball every time. Whats more, Edwards had 50 career receiving touchdowns (NCAA record), 27 touchdowns in 1998 (NCAA record), 140 receptions (2nd all time in NCAA), 1,996 receiving yards in 1998 (2nd all time in NCAA ), and one less than stellar NFL career that spanned across Pittsburgh, Jacksonville, St. Louis, Detroit, and even the Arena League’s Grand Rapids Rampage. But on that day 10 years ago, Edwards was unstoppable, his feats more memorable than the actual score for certain (56-27 Nebraska), he was given a standing ovation by the Husker faithful as he left the field.
