A Below Average Photo Essay: Hotty Toddy Edition

November 3rd, 2008 by Bunkie Perkins · 2 Comments

The FOTP braintrust was in Oxford, MS this past weekend to see the Independence Bowl Elimination Game between Ole Miss and Auburn. While Bunkie spent Friday night in Memphis, Mr. Medallion was admiring the wonder that is The Square on Halloween Night (Ed Note: If you haven’t been on Halloween night, it is HIGHLY recommended). As for Saturday, the Grove couldn’t have been better. Perfect Weather. Talent Everywhere. Like a good Mike linebacker , our head was on a swivel all day long.   The game itself was a brutal combination of Raycom commercial breaks and instant replay reviews that amounted to a four hour head-beating-against-a-wall affair for all.  Either way, here’s a few things we noticed during our weekend festivities:

The sun was out, the talent was top notch…*sticks finger in mouth then towards the heavens*… and the air was just right for drinking.

Ole Miss fans, rollin’ on white wall 22′s son!

A post Halloween 11:30 Raycom non-HD broadcast…always a good idea.

When the completely resistable force meets the more than likely movable object.

Not even Auburn’s magical chain mail capes could help them Saturday.

Yet another Eddins brother looms in the SEC

All that talent and no split ends

A Grove arrest…like a COPS episode but with a higher concentration of Croakies

Kramer and his dreamcoat are unimpressed

I saw the arrest. He actually did nothing except talk back to the policeman when the policeman smarted off to him about smoking a cigarette. He got out four hours later.

We were tailgating close by. The Segway cop pulled around to catch a guy with a beer at that tailgate. Made him pour out that beer and the rest in his cooler, and I guess made him shut down the tailgate too. Yeah, this guy was just talking to the cop.

Though, I wonder if the cop noticed that someone stole his hat off the Segway when he was busy making this all-important arrest.
