Here comes the Boom…or not
Contrary to rampant rumor mongering and wild speculation, Will Muschamp has made it clear he’s not bringing the boom the Auburn next season. It’s hard out there once you leave the warm embrace of Mack Brown…just ask Vince Young. With Muschamp out of the picture, there was even whispers of Spurrier bastardizing his legacy even more and going to coach the Tigers. That’s since been dispelled. That leaves Turner Gill (who inexplicably got passed over for the Syracuse job for a guy who thinks Reggie Bush is still a viable NFL running back), TCU’s Gary Patterson, Tulsa’s Todd Graham, Ball State’s Brady Hoke, La Tech’s Derrick Dooley, various college assistants, Ed “Straight Arrow” Genero, and a half eaten bag of trail mix. All have been rumored to have been interviewed or at least contacted…except for the trail mix, his people won’t call us back.
