If Houston Nutt Wrote the Inauguration Speech

Socialism and insanity, disguised as hope.

On this day we acknowledge a defining moment in the history of our country, a day in which Barack Obama will take the podium as our 44th, and first African American, President and deliver a much anticipated address to his nation and the world.   Its a speech that should inspire hope, optimism, and renew the true American spirit to a country that has been greatly lacking in those areas for some time now.  A speech of that magnitude, we are sure, will be left up to the team of speech writers and phrasesmiths under the political employ, however, should their words fall short of the desired motivational mark, we’d implore the Obama camp to shine its beacon of hope into the heavens so that it may be seen in the far reaches of the south, alerting the one man who can respond with the proper amount of passion required for such an important speech.  A man who is half Southern Baptist preacher and half crazy.  A man who moves the masses to act (and in Hogville’s case, to act completely irrationally) and command an audience, all the while chewing nervously on his own fingernails.  A man named Houston Dale Nutt.

We imagine this call won’t come today.  We imagine Obama has this speech well within his grasp, but just in case some last minute revisions are needed, we humbly submit the Inauguration speech, if Houston Nutt had written it.
