Rivals Rankings + Mystery Points = Bama #1?

“Nick Saban and Alabama used a strong finish*** to jump LSU and claim the Rivals.com 2009 recruiting national championship.”

*** And our Rivals’ “fuzzy math”

For clarity’s sake, after reviewing a mountain of data, it boils down to this:

Alabama ends with a point total of 2786 and LSU at 2762. Using the spread sheet LSU still has 2762 while the Crimson Tide compute out at 2742.415. They picked up 44 mystery points somewhere.

So Bama fan, better hold off on printing those “Back-to-Back Recruiting National Championships” T-Shirts until the “mathematicians”  at Rivals can come up with an explanation.
