Rumors coming out of the Kentucky bluegrass is that, once Kentucky bows out of the NIT (they prolonged the stay of execution with a win over UNLV last night), Billy Gillespie will be shown the door. The Wildcats missed the NCAA tournament this year for the first time since 1991 despite having the SEC leading scorer in Jodie Meeks. At the very least, Billy G’s firing means we wont have any more uncomfortable sideline exchanges between him and the spurner of his romantic advances, one Jeannine Edwards.
