Former Auburn WR and “soon-to-be-former” Tampa Bay Buccaneer Anthony Mix was indicted by a Baldwin County, Ala. grand jury after he allegedly had sex with a 15-year-old girl. You might be thinking, this is ”statutory rape.” You would be wrong (but since we are dealing with the South, I bet you already assumed that). Apparently, sex with a 15 year old girl constitutes only “contributing to the delinquency of a minor” in Alabama. So there’s really no difference between giving the young girl a bottle of Boone’s Farm and having sex with her.
Ahh Alabama, where common sense and decency takes a back seat to the statutory right to conveniently have sex with minors every time.

The age of consent in Alabama is 16, just like all but 19 states (7 are 17, 12 are 18).

I have heard so many different variations of the laws in the south that it makes my head spin…
Awesome thought: Hit on, and subsequently take home, women that can:
A.) Vote
B.) Buy Tobacco
C.) Buy Alcohol
You should stay out of trouble if you follow those three.
