Augie Garrido, your latest victim of mis-management [Photoshop by TZilla]

And so we stand on the precipice of a 6th National Championship for LSU Baseball, thanks in large part to the squandering of 5 homeruns and a superb pitching performance by Chase Ruffin by the mismanagement of, statistically, the nation’s best pitching staff, by Texas Head Coach Augie Garrido.  There Garrido stood, 3 outs away from having a one up advantage on the favored Gorilla Ball mashing opponents from the Bayou when he decided to pull ace reliever Austin Wood, after he gave up a lead off hit ( I mean, Wood only threw 169 pitches in a Regional game, how could he possible be expected to go 3 strong last night?) , in favor of his bullpen, who proceeded to douse the grass with kerosene, pull out a match, and then light fire to the infield.

LSU looks to close it out tonight as they send the Port City’s own Austin Ross to the hill.  Texas will counter with the serial arsonist and incapable thrower of strikes from the night before, freshmen Taylor Jungmann.

the first case of mismanagement was pulling ruffin in the first place. sure he had given up a couple hits, but for the most part the guy was rolling. he was damn sure throwing better than anyone who came out of the bullpen save for that cat who came in last.

I would like for us to refer to Augie Garrido as Soggy Burrito from this point forward.
