If you haven’t been watching ABC’s Modern Family on Wednesday Nights you are missing out. The funniest new comedy of the season follows three rather untraditional families sired in some way by Al Bundy (Jay on the show, Ed O’Neill in real life).

Jay recently married Gloria. Now Jay is trying hard to keep up with his much younger and hotter Colombian wife, along with her passionate pre-teen son, Manny. Claire is having a hard time raising her own family. Her husband Phil is great, except that he thinks he’s “down” with their three kids, much to all their embarrassment. And, Mitchell and his enthusiastic partner Cameron have just made a major life change by adopting a Vietnamese baby named Lily.

In this past Wednesday’s episode titled “Coal Digger” it is revealed that Jay’s son’s life partner Cameron was a former center for the Illinois Fighting Illini. Much hilarity ensues. Hit the jump below for a clip and a link to the full episode.
