Auburn vs. Alabama.
It happens on the Football Field once a year, in the workplace every 3 minutes, and on the internet every .002 seconds.
It is called the Iron Bowl because for many many years the game was played in Birmingham, AL in the worst stadium ever built by man known as Legion Field. Actually I’d like to think man isn’t even capable of building such a dump, maybe Legion Field simply evolved from a tar pit. It is the Iron Bowl because Birmingham I guess was once known for Iron, unlike now where it is known for electing stellar leadership, Courtney Cox, and MTV’s Two-A-Days (starring RUSH PROBST and MAX LERNER). Luckily the game has moved on and this years edition took place in the loveliest Village on the Plains of Auburn, AL and naturally much joy, stress, disappointment, and hilarity ensued…
Christmas almost came early, but when the present was unwrapped Auburn Fans found a load of elephant dung.
FOTP Celebrity Sighting: Louisiana Tech may have The Mailman, but The IRON BOWL brings A-List Alabama Celebs like Taylor Hicks. Glad he got to enjoy the game as I doubt he was in town for a music gig (…yeah I WENT THERE).
Tuscaloosa Tuxedo. He must of’ had a wedding to attend after the game.

Man trains dog to eat Elephant stuffed animal. Bama fan screams bloody murder and “HEY MIKE VICK”. I love the SEC. And dog fighting (j/k calm down).
The Tiger Walk helps Auburn players find their way to the Stadium.
DUAL FANNY PACK BOOSH!
There is always one overly obnoxious visiting fan wearing a bandana constantly on the brink of getting his ass kicked. Today, that was this guy.

How this Eagle doesn’t up and fly out of the stadium continues to baffle me. Unless of course David Housel is the Beast Master. Then it all makes perfect sense.

It was a quite lovely post-Thanksgiving Day. Luckily many of us left room for Bourbon.
Text on phone reads: “Yeh my ponytail is doing GR8T. Thx 4 checkin =P”
You gotta put your back into that sax girrrl.
Fake Alabama Jersey. Fake Bear Bryant Hat. Fake Oakleys. Real Douche.
Sure you could say Bama won the game, but when it comes to The Iron Bowl the real winner is always AMERICA.
$&^% YEAH…
Unfortunately not everyone is always a winner, i.e. The Bama fan stuck taking the wilderness journey back to Tuscaloosa…
Godspeed sir. Godspeed and Until we meet again…

Wow, it’s really pathetic how all the Allbarn fans were acting happy to barely lose… LOSE!!! I guess after the 36-0 whitewash last year, losing in the final minute is progress…
Then their classiest fans have to post photos of their rivals’ Dirt Road Alumni to feel better about themselves… You can get the red off the neck… but…

The odds of any of those clad in crimson in those pictures actually having a college degree are about the same as the odds of Auburn winning the SECCG this year.

Taylor Hicks was on vacation from starring in Grease – which is touring across the country.

[...] Here’s the Alabama-Auburn game, The Iron Bowl if you will, story in pictures. Minus the physical fights and shots from the drunk tank, I’d say this pretty much sums it up. <friendsoftheprogram> [...]

I assure you if I found any Auburn people in full denim or fanny packs I would have posted them in this very blog as we learn our fairness from Ole Miss’s own Shep Smith.
Also look at the Auburn guy holding the American flag, he looks every bit as ridiculous as the rest of the Bama Fans here. FAIR. CHECK. BALANCED. CHECK.
Thanks for your concern.

sweet lord, the traffic into auburn last friday was awful!
the bammers in these pictures definitely look sidewalk. unfortunately we had to sit in a UAT section, which was unexpectedly tame until the last minute or so.

Isn’t every journey out of Auburn through the wilderness?
Fake jersey/hat/sunglass guy……spend that extra dollar at Hibbets. It comes back ten fold.

Let us not forget Mr. Foster Keats that your very own gave the Alabama team a standing ovation after they got beat by Oklahoma in a close game. I believe that they played your fight song the year after at one of their home games. Hmm…
You might want to think about your posts next time. Just some advice.

Truth is, Hicks was having a rare day off. On his way to Vegas for a gig and back to NC for another.
Good game.

Taylor shows up at every Iron Bowl when he is not working. Yes, he does have a steady income and loves coming back home. I bet he was on the sidelines, where did you sit!

for which team did former Auburn student, Taylor Hicks, cheer?
