Admiral Ackbar, known in the past as a reactive sort of leader has taken a more preemptive measures at Ole Miss to ensure that he and those behind him in the Rebel Alliance will emerge from the impending mascot vote victorious. This sign has found it’s way to a prominent place outside of the Ole Miss Student Union, to not only drum up support for the Admiral, but also to warn the Rebel faithful of the dire consequences in voting against his strategic measures.

This is insane! I like Star wars as much as the next guy, but this is Mississippi for Heavens sake, we are not part of the FICTIONAL “Rebel Alliance”, remember the whole “In a galaxy far,far away” deal? I also find it humorous that some Rebels are good, but others are bad, I guess the difference in good and evil is if you win the war. I wonder, if Star Wars was real and the Empire won, how the series would differ. Why, I bet Luke and his posse would be portrayed as no good anarchists, set on destroying the prosperity of the galaxy. Bonaparte said it best “history is a set of lies agreed upon by the victor”
