It never rains in Tiger Stadium, unless its men falling from the sky
After the game at LSU Saturday, several people asked me had I seen or heard about the guy that fell from the top deck to the bottom deck in the stadium. I didn’t but I also totally believed the possibility of it happening because, if you’ve been to LSU, you know that upper deck has only slightly less slope than the Materhorn. Luckily, someone over at Tigerdroppings saw the whole thing happen...and its pretty much how you would assume a drunk LSU fan would react after he fell two stories onto other people below.
I sit right underneath the overhang in the south endzone (which I thought was only good for protecting me from the rain, but apparently it keeps me from being fallen on from drunk people above).
It happened right in front of me and I will never forget the image of that guy’s body flying through the air. Happened so fast that not many people saw it. The guy does a complete somersault from the top deck and falls 10-15 feet and lands on two other people (luckily for him landing feet first). I moved to help the guy who had fallen and he had a pretty good gash on his temple. He gets up and, Hand to God, says the following sentence, “I need to go to the bathroom.” He proceeds to walk up the stairs to find said bathroom. Someone tells him he needs to sit down and wait and he says, “Okay.” AS IF NOTHING HAD HAPPENED!! I don’t think he even realized he had come close to killing himself. The person who got it the worst was an older gentleman who ended up crashing down a few stairs. Fans were attending to him and making sure he didn’t try to get up while waiting for medics. Don’t know if he hit his head from the guy falling on him or hitting the stairs, but he had a complete blank look and was certainly concussed. The older gentleman and the guy who fell were taken away on boards with their necks restrained. It was nuts.
I nominate “I need to go to the bathroom” as the new cry of victory and perseverance for the LSU season moving forward. I expect to see it on a tshirt.

Not that it makes it any better, but this person did not fall from the upper deck of Tiger Stadium. The South Endzone has two levels & the person went over the railing of the upper level of the endzone. Probably only a 10-15 foot fall. not the 50+ foot fall that someone would endure from our upper deck that would surely result in death.

Although most never see it, this is actually what happens when you don’t want to take the stairs and just push the easy button instead.
