This guy’s name is Harvey Updyke (the guy in the hat, not the baby…we think). Here is his Facebook. He has kids named Bear and Crimson…of course he does. It’s being rumored on various message boards that this is your guy, Auburn. An arrest has apparently been made in the incident. According to WarBlogle, there will be a presser at 10:30 to update the case.
Auburn justice…swift, unrelenting, message board friendly.

That Updyke is so screwed if it was not him. He is, in fact, wearing the crown of thorns in his profile pic, but it says he lives in Mobile? Screwed, none the less. Might want to shut the Facebook down for a while.

If this guy is a retired Texas State Trooper then it is even more likely that this is THE Updyke. If you listen to his radio call where he admitted to poisoning the Toomer’s Corner oak, he mentions that he was living in Texas when Bear Bryant died.
