You Can’t Do That On Television

It is illegal to show a recruit on the jumbotron during a school sanctioned event, such as a basketball game, but the University of Alabama did just that as Saban sat between Sanders, Jr. and Senior to see the Tide win the SEC West in basketball this Saturday night.

Of course this is just the second secondary violation (that we know of) in Saban’s recruitment of Barry, Jr. The first came as a violation of Saban’s very own bump rule in Oklahoma City.

Maybe the third time is a charm?

Not that anyone can really blame him, I believe the maximum NCAA penalty for a secondary violation is 15 minutes in timeout and a stern talking to from your parents.

Update: Do you think Rob Ezell doing his Saban impersonation helped or hurt Bama’s chances?
