Hugh Freeze and staff attend to all of Robert Nkemdiche’s needs
Robert Nkemdiche’s is by all accounts the top recruit of the 2013 class. He is also the brother of current Ole Miss Rebel defensive back, Denzel Nkemdiche. This fact has produced much speculation that Ole Miss could be the surprise destination for the #1 recruit for the country come signing day next year. The Nkemdiches’ father Sunny has said as much.
“I would like to see them play together [in college],” Sunny said. “In high school, it was fun for me … that would be a pleasure for them to play together.”
But, Hugh Freeze and his staff are not just banking on the bond of brothers and aren’t leaving it up to chance, they rolled out the red carpet for the younger Nkemdiche at Ole Miss’s Junior Day over the weekend.
Nkemdiche visited Ole Miss, and according to many accounts (including those from Nkemdiche), it went very well. So well, in fact, that sources tell us some inside the program think the Rebels are now the team to beat based on the vibe they got from Nkemdiche.
How welcome did the rebels make him feel?…well…
No. 1 prospect Robert Nkemdiche was so overwhelmed by the attention he got at Ole Miss that he said he felt like “Michael Jackson”
No confirmation on how many of those weekend nights Nkemdiche slept over at the Freeze household and whether or not any “Jesus Juice” was served, but I expect to hear rumors over the coming months of a bagman traveling from Oxford to deliver the Elephant Man’s bones to the Nkemdiche family doorstep.
Edit Note: in the unlikely chance Robert Nkemdiche does sign with Ole Miss, I hereby nickname him “The King of Pop”
