We’ve had the weekend to let all of the goings on of last week kind of sink in a little…and given everyone enough time to rifle through all the phone records to find any more interesting nuggets. There’s been no hiring of a new coach (or even naming an interim for that matter) and there’s been no revelations that Petrino was running a backwoods meth lab staffed by illegal immigrant Colombian hookers…but it’s still Tuesday, yet. Here’s the latest.
- Players and coaches finally spoke publicly about the whole thing. [ESPN]
- Don’t worry guys, Tyler Wilson’s got this [ArkNews]
- Alison Melder, through her attorney, would like you to know that she never had an affair with Bobby Petrino. She, of course, failed to mention the hundreds of texts and possibly the scandalous photos she might have sent him. [Deadspin]
- Jessica Dorrell didn’t do a whole lot of good for women working in college sports [SI]
- Hey Jeff Long, thanks for cleaning this whole mess up. Here’s $1.25 million for your troubles. [Ark360]
- There are a lot of names being floated around for the Arkansas job. John Daly has a few ideas, but, as Chris Bahn writes, its probably best to be patient about this whole thing. [Ark360]
- Tim Horton could be the interim….who in the hell is Tim Horton?! [CoachingSearch]
- Houston Nutt put in his 2 cents [YouTube]
- Jeff Long would really appreciate it if you showed up for the Spring game on Saturday [Twitter]
- In other Arkansas matters involving the local authorities, a Razorback linebacker was arrested for aggravated burglary. Here’s his mugshot. [WashCountySheriff]
