An Arkansas Wedding with Everyday Low Prices

July 11th, 2012 by · 6 Comments

Wedding planning can be a bit of a chore, what with finding a venue, orchestrating the entire ceremony, getting out all of the invitations, and the rest of the usual nuptial-centric requirements.  It can be such an overwhelming undertaking that, at some point in the process, one or both of the marrying parties involved will express a desire to elope rather than face the logistical and financial  nightmares that can occur.

Well thankfully, Arkansas has a reasonable alternative that falls somewhere in the middle of the bargain basement between a full-on wedding ceremony and running off to Vegas or quickie-marrying posts in between…the Wal-Mart wedding.

Always low standards…always

Before you go off and shun this lovely couple for having their wedding in what looks like the Garden Center at the local Super Wal-Mart, consider that it’s really the only place where you can register for gifts before the ceremony, have your guests purchase them on-site, have the stock boy then bring them to the reception on a dolly, allow you to then peruse the gift selection, then, if you dont like the gift (or get duplicates), you can take advantage of the lienient Wal-Mart return policy and cash in nicely on the whole extravaganza.  There’s that and the convenient proximity to the Family Planning section for the post reception honeymoon activities.

All of the glory of the Arkansas Wal-Mart wedding after the jump!
