There they were, on the edge of their faux-leather seats, in their tastefully decorated apartment, as Stanford lined up for the game winning field goal….A kick that would give Oregon their first lost on the season and the winner of the SEC Championship game the inside track to the BCS title game. When the ball sailed through the uprights, as you might expect, the levels of Gumping reached a crescendo (including a dog sent temporarily airborne), and the jubilation spilled into the dark of apartment complex’s night. Roll Tide.
